Membership Tiers

Full Membership
The Membership of the Association is open to all persons who are Owners as defined by the Articles of Association of the Association, subject nevertheless to the Council's discretion to decline any application for membership. "Owner" means a person whether an individual or a member of a Partnership or a Manager of a Syndicate, registered under the provisions of the Rules of Racing of The Hong Kong Jockey Club. On applying to be a Full Member of the Association, an entrance fee of HK$800 is payable. In addition, an annual subscription fee of HK$1,880 is payable by each Member.

Associate Membership
The Council may from time to time admit any person being a member of The Hong Kong Jockey Club and not being registered as an Owner to be an Associate Member. An Associate Member shall be entitled to enjoy all the privileges of membership but shall not be entitled to vote at any meeting of the Association nor stand for election as a member of the Council. On applying to be an Associate Member of the Association, an entrance fee of HK$800 and an annual subscription fee of HK$1,080 are payable by each Member.

Sport Membership
The Council may from time to time admit any person not eligible for Full or Associate Membership to be a Sport Member. A Sport Member shall be entitled to enjoy all the privileges of membership but shall not be entitled to vote at any meeting of the Association nor to stand for election as a member of the Council. On applying to be a Sport Member of the Association, the applicant must be of age 18 or above and is the immediate family (parent, spouse, child or sibling) of a current Full Member of the Association or the applicant must be a member of The Racing Club. An entrance fee of HK$800 and an annual subscription fee of HK$1,080 are payable by each Member.

Life Membership
A Full Member who is 65 or over and has been a Full Member for more than 20 continuous years may apply to the Council to become a Life Member. Life Members shall not be liable to pay any further subscription but shall remain entitled to enjoy all the privileges of the Association until such time as the Member may for whatever reason cease to be a Member.
