The Association organizes a number of interesting events and activities for its Members each year. An important fixture on the Association's calendar is the Annual Dinner which is attended by a variety of horseracing personalities including Stewards and Officials of The Hong Kong Jockey Club, trainers, jockeys, and owners. The highlights of this event are the presentation of the "HKROA Award", which is given to owner member of the horse adjudged to be the most consistent horse of the previous season, as well as some other awards to members' horses with outstanding performance. In commemorating our 20th Anniversary in 1998, our Association donated a Trophy to The Hong Kong Jockey Club to be competed for the "HKROA Trophy" annually. Not all the activities of the Association are social or recreational in nature. Educational seminars are also organized by the Association which are aimed at providing members with a deeper understanding of the many aspects of racing as well as owning a racehorse.
